Blessings and Happy Easter,

During one of our amazing conversations at our Tuesday afternoon gatherings called God Talk, I was struck by how important table fellowship is to our faith, by how community is strengthened and Christ is revealed when we sit around a table breaking bread together and sharing our stories and insights. One of the Easter scriptures tells of the two disciples going to Emmaus after Jesus had been crucified. They meet Jesus, although they do not know it is him until they break bread together. As soon as this happened, "their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight." (Luke 24:31)
