It is common to see people contributing: helping lead senior services at care homes; hosting Happy Times - an afternoon of food and entertainment for seniors; coordinating and leading children's and youth programs; putting on special dinners, and many, many other activities that God calls us to do. Inspiring Worship click to view full size The Worship, Music and Children's Ministries work together to create inspiring, thought provoking and relevant services. Alberni Valley United Church congregation is a mix of all ages. Everyone's contribution is valued. Children lead worship several times a year. Familiar traditions are part of every Sunday service. There are exciting contemporary worship ideas that renew and refresh the soul. click to view full size Music Ministry Music ministry at AVUC is a vibrant, exciting part of church life. Identified as a key focus for our congregation, our music continues to grow. A varied music program enhances our Sunday morning Worship experiences. Our congregation loves to sing and enjoys the opportunity to join our choirs in an integrated music program. We are blessed with a number of dedicated musicians who share, their time and talent with us. Our Sanctuary often vibrates with the sound of piano, guitars, drums, bells and voices. We invite anyone (of any age) who wishes to join our musical team to either call for information or simply join the choirs at rehearsal. Children rehearse Sundays at 11:40 and aadults Thursday evening (bells at 6:30 and choir at 7:30) from September to May.
